Today’s Verse:

“But those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” –Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬

Today’s Encouragement:

As people, we have a tendency to trust in everyone and everything but God. We blindly give others the benefit of the doubt but are quick to blame God when things don’t go our way.

What we turn to when life happens is where we place our trust. For some, it is drugs & alcohol. For others, it is relationships & gossip. Where do you go? Do you run to the phone or to God’s throne?

My encouragement for you today is to go to God in prayer, give Him your worries and anxieties, and let His Word (the Bible) minister to your heart. Resist the temptation to run elsewhere before going to God. This can be difficult because we are so used to going to other places. We have bad habits that will take intentional effort to turn around. I want to encourage you that you can do it and it is so worth it.

God wants us to cast our anxieties on Him because He wants to help. He does not want you to carry your burdens alone.

Today’s Prayer:

Father God, help us to run to you when life happens. Thank you for renewing our strength and helping us to soar on wings like eagles. We trust you and want you to be our first response. We love you and thank you for your help carrying our burdens. In Jesus' name, amen.
